The Health IT Equity Vanguard Award is the highest distinction of merit bestowed by NHIT, and it honors champions at the forefront of health equity. These leaders spearhead transformative technology-based solutions and programs that have delivered results at scale toward the elimination of health disparities across the US and its territories.

The Health IT Equity Champion Award honors the torchbearers who have made outstanding contributions toward advancing NHIT’s mission and goals of eliminating health disparities for the underserved and advocating for the equitable adoption of health technology. These leaders embody the principled manifestation of outcomes across NHIT’s five pillars: Workforce, Innovation, Policy, Research, and Community.

The Health IT Equity Pioneer Award honors select recipients who have boldly forged trails into novel areas of policy and technology. These leaders investigate and iterate on new innovations so that others may learn, follow, and continue working toward unlocking opportunities for every person to attain their full health potential.

The Community Health IT Advocacy Award honors organizations that rise to address their communities' health challenges by meeting residents and neighbors where they are. As staples of their communities, they develop and implement effective service models that foster innovation and advance health equity through education, value, and advocacy.
